MATTHEW 15:21-28 21) 'Then Jesus went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon.

22) And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.

23) But he answered her not a word, and his disciples came and besought him, saying, send her away, for she crieth after us.

24) But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

25) Then came she and worshiped him, saying,Lord, help me.

26) But he answered and said, it is not meet to take the children's bread and cast it to dogs.

27) And she saith, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their masters table.

28) Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: Be it unto thee as thou will. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

This woman came out to Him with a burden on her heart. But before she asked Jesus about her burden--she asked Him to have mercy on her. Then she proceeded to ask Him to help her with her burden--her daughter was vexed with a devil--very grievously.

Jesus seemed to ignore her at first. His disciples said, send her away.

He came back at them saying what He was there for---the lost sheep of the house of Israel. This is what He came for.

But the lady came back--acknowledging who He was by saying, Lord help me.

Jesus recognized her faithand told her that by her faith her daughter would be made whole again. And from that very hour she was healed.

Sometimes in our life we will come to a point where we cannot see how we can get through. But if we do as this woman did--go to Jesus--ask Him for mercy and tell Him the situation you need help in. But sometimes it is with us as it was with her--we have to ask again--showing our faith in Him, and sincerity of the need we are asking for.

Jesus will recognize His being called on because we believe He is our Lord, and will have compassion on our need and will answer our prayer for just what we asked for.

It may not be that very hourbut our answer will come..

Remember that Jesus lets us know that we can ask anything of His Father, that His Father can be glorified in His Son ( Jesus ) and He will do it.

Call upon Him, His way to receive His blessings for answered prayer.

Are you praying and asking His way?
