LUKE 17: 11 to 19 11) 'And it came to pass, as he went into Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.
12) And as he entered into a certain village there met him ten that were lepers, which stood afar off.
13) And they lifted their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.
14) And when he saw them, he said unto them, go shew yourselves unto the priests, and it came to pass, that as they went, they were cleansed, 15) And one of them, when he saw that he was healed. turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God.
16) And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.
17)AndJesusansweringsaid, were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?
18) There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.
19) And he said unto him, go thy way, thy faith hath made the whole.'(KJV) As we read these Scriptures we can relate to them today.
Nine out of ten lepers did not return to give thanks and glory to Jesus for answering their request for mercy.
In this troublesome world we are finding that people are enduring some problems will call out to God to help them through them.. But when He does pull them out of their problem nine out of ten of them--don't give God the credit, because they forget that they asked Him for help. So consequently nine out of ten do not give God the credit, and nine out of ten do not openly thank God for His blessings Today it is like what was said by Jesus in verse 17- ' but where are the nine?'
We should not only thank God for whatever He has done for us that we asked Him to do, but we should thank Him as many times as we asked Him.
Don't be one of the nine, but be the one who thanks and gives God the glory.
Are you the one--or are you one of the nine?
