MATTHEW 12: 30-32 30) He that is not with me is against me: and he gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.
31) Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
32) And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him, But whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.'(KJV) Jesus is telling us that if we are against Him, we are not for Him. Being against God--in any manner is sin, which must be forgiven.
But you have probably heard of the unpardonable sin.
Well the unpardonable sin is described very plainly in verse 32 above ' whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.'(KJV) This is the only sin that man can commit that can never be forgiven, not in this world or in the world to come. This means forever, cannot be forgiven, the unpardonable sin!
God is all forgiving, He will forgive any man. Any sin confessed and repented of, and cleanse that man of all his sins. But God specifies one sin and only one sin--that He will not forgive-- and that is blaspheming the Holy Ghost.
When the Holy Ghost is dealing with a sinner about trusting Jesus as their Savior, and that person refuses to listen to the Holy Ghost thru the scriptures and totally denies and says no to salvation, is blaspheming the Holy Ghost. That soul will not be forgiven, for refusing salvation and for blaspheming the Holy Ghost.
And any sin not forgiven will cost that person to pay for their own sin--which Jesus died to pay for--especially for blaspheming the Holy Ghost.
Have you listened, or denied Him?
