PSALM 20: 1-0

1) "The lord hear thee in the day of troubles: the name of the God of Jacob defend thee:

2) Send thee help from thy sanctuary and strengthen thee out of Zion

3) Remember all thy offerings, and accept the burnt sacrifice: Selah.

4) Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfill all thy counsel.

5) We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the lord fulfill all thy petitions. ( prayers )

6) Now we know that the Lord saveth His anointed; He will hear him fro his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.

7) Some trust in Chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.

8) They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright.

9) Save, Lord, let the king hear us when we call;" (KJV)

As we look into this PSALM, we see from David his need at the time of writing, but we can also see in the writing how this scripture works for us:

Verse 1--He is who we call on when in trouble, we call upon the Lord--in Prayer

Verse 2- We know where our help will come from--when the Lord answers.

Verse 3- Remember us as we serve thee during our days--our actions are offerings to Him.

Verse 4- Grant the petitions (prayers ) asked for according as you believe will be best for us.

Verse5- We will rejoice in thy salvation--we should be excited that the Lord saved us and giving us the promise of eternal life.

Verse 6- We know that the Lord hears our prayers--as His anointed ones-- and will protect us from all harm.

Verse 7- Many people trust in things, but we trust in Jesus Christ our Savior.

Verse 8- The lost are broken down by Satan's promises, but we are lifted up from his teachings and stand upright in the Word of God.

Verse 9- Knowing that we are saved we know that He hears all who will call upon Him for mercy and salvation.
