Just Thought I'd Ask
PROVERBS 1:1-7 1) "The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, King of Israel. 2) to know wisdom and instruction; to perceive ( understand) the words of understanding; 3)to receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity; 4)to give subtlety to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion. 5)A wise man will hear and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain (acquire) unto the counsels: 6) to understand a proverb, and interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings. 7) The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction."(KJV)
There are those who listen to the Word of God and will acknowledge that hearing them and applying them to their own life will bring about God's blessings to them.
The more they hear and read God's Word the better their life will be.
Hearing and reading will only be a blessing to the hearer and the reader when God's Words are applied to their life.
Some people think that living a Christian life is to hard. But in reality--when you know what God likes and what He does not like and you keep what He does not like out of your life--you are blessed to find that it is much better to do it His way.
There are others who despise or dislike or even hate hearing the Word of God. That is because they refuse to change the lifestyle that they are living. They like to eat, drink and be marry, but in the end they are most miserable. Always wanting more. They refuse instruction from God and man and want to live their life as they see fit. When you look around and watch the life of a true Christian who has joy and peace within and compare it to the life of a non-believer who has troubles, trials, and missing out on God's blessings---To be like one of these lives you only have to pick the right one. Follow Jesus-wisdom, knowledge,,righteousness.
Which one do you pick?
