PUT YOUR CONFIDENCE IN JESUS

By
Submitted By Dr. James Schirtzinger, D.d. Pastor/founder Of The Grace Baptist Church, Lake Andes Since 1988

PROVERBS 25:19 "Confidence is an unfaithful man in times of trouble is like a broken tooth, and a foot out of joint."(KJV)

This proverb is telling us that an unfaithful person is just that, especially in times when trouble is happening to you. An unfaithful person is unstable in his life and cannot be counted on for help when needed.

This person will say, if you need me, I'll be there, but when you need him, he is always too busy to help you.

He is like a broken tooth, it hurts, it brings on pain and is quite useless when you are trying to eat. And he is like a foot out of joint which is somewhat useless if you are trying to take a walk. It must be reset before it is of any use to you.

So we can see unfaithful people, broken tooth and foot out of joint are not to be expected to do what they say, or do what they should.

So this is the case, what should a Christian do?

Put your faith in the only one who is faithful to help you when troubles come your way. Put your faith in Jesus.

We should build over time more and more faith in Him. He is not unfaithful, but is entirely faithful.

Jesus loves you, died for you and if you believe in Him, saves you by faith in Him.

Remember there is nothing impossible for Jesus. Just think according to the scriptures, in the beginning. He was there and created all things that were made. That was a spectacular event. One that could never be beat or matched, it was great.

Now if you have a problem, don't turn to some unfaithful man. Turn to Jesus. He can and will fix any and all things in you life. Have a real growing faith .

Tremendous advise comes from PROVERBS 3: 5,6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding, in all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy path."(KJV)

Don't be concerned about how He will do it, just believe in faith that He will.

Who do you turn to in time of need?
