THERE IS A GENERATION
PROVERBS 30: 11-14
11. " There is a generation that curses their father, and does not bless their mother.
12. There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness.
13. There is a generation, O How lofty, are their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up. (lofty--means--haughty;over proud; arrogant)
14. There is a generation whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men."(KJV)
We are living in some bad times---The Lord has been put on the back burner---so to speak--and so much unrighteousness is now forsaken for the I, me troubles.
VERSE 11--is telling that "there is a generation," and that generation is now--that curse their father, especially if he tries to instruct them to follow the Lord, They do not "bless their mother," they disrespect and disobey their righteous mother.
VERSE 12--indicates that they think that "If it doesn't bother me, it must be ok" attitude--and these are those who refuse to hear God's Words of Salvation, because they would have to have a different attitude toward God's Word. They are proud, arrogant and over proud of themselves.
VERSE 14--indicates that there is a generation that are self centered and proud and want everybody else that is poor and needy to be removed from the earth so they won't have to be bothered with them.
VERSE 13----is saying that this generation "can't see the trees for the forest," or they can't see the sin around them because it is so common with them.
Reading these verses and seeing what is going on all around us we can believe that the "generation" in these verses ---is now.
Rejecting God's Word, cursing their parents, ignoring the sinfulness of things around them, and putting themselves as "number one" and no one else needs to think otherwise.
For those who don't know it--the Bible--God's Holy Word teaches just the opposite from the things mentioned in these four verses.
The reason there is a generation spoken of in these verses, is because of the absence of the Word of God in families, schools, and in our government.
We must pray for a real spiritual revival--before it is too late.
Don't you believe it is necessary?
