MARK 13:32,33 " But of that day and that hour no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. Take heed, watch and pray, for ye know not when the time is."(KJV)

MARK 13:36,37 " Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. And what I say unto you I say unto all, watch."(KJV)

First this scripture is telling us that the only one that knows when Jesus is coming back---is the Father.

This is telling us for sure, Jesus is coming back, we just don't know when.

Secondly this scripture is telling us that we should be on the watch.

In the military being on the watch list means that a person must keep his eyes open for anything that is out of the ordinary.

We being on the watch list for the coming of the Lord Jesus is telling us that there is something to watch for that is out of the ordinary.

Jesus said in JOHN 14:3" And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself: that where I am there ye may be also."(KJV)

So when He said in MARK 13:37 for us to watch, He wants us to be watching for His return.

In MARK 13:36 " not to find us sleeping". In the military if you are on the watch list, and you go to sleep on the watch list, you could be reprimanded, for something unusual could have happened on your watch.

We are to be living our life in such a manner as we know at any time any day or night, Jesus could come.

If a person is not watching for His return, and is doing something He should not be doing at the time Jesus comes, He will find you--sleeping, and not watching.

What a shame it would be for Jesus to come and find us not doing His will as He comes.

We are told to watch for Him and in so doing so, we will be doing is His will and He will find us doing His will just as He wanted to find us.

So let us not be hanging our heads down but holding them up. He is coming in the clouds. Watch,watch, watch.
