DON'T MOVE THE LANDMARKS
PROVERBS 22:28 "Remove not the ancient landmarks, which thy fathers have set."(KJV)
PROVERBS 23:10 "Remove not the landmark: and enter not into the fields of the fatherless."(KJV)
These scriptures are speaking of boundary's.
Those landmarks are there to identify an area.
In property ownership the property is marked by pins that are placed at the four corners of a property that says inside these four pins is a property that belongs to the ownership of this property. The location of these pins are in a book and they are the proof of the land ownership.
They are not to be removed, and adjacent property owners are not to go over the pins for their own benefit.
Now all this makes sense to those who own property.
Now lets look at this in a different way.
God has given us a set of laws that if we stay within these laws we can be blessed of Him.
But some people want to stretch the border of God's Laws, just a little to please themselves.
But getting out of line with God's Laws (God's Word) will displease Him and cause a person to lose His Blessings.
Now some people think that all they have to do is change God's Laws and move the boarders of His approval so that they can gain a little more than was planned by God in His Inspired Word.
This is why there are so many different versions of God's Word.
People want to change them to satisfy themselves and therefore move the intended landmarks of God's Word to suite themselves This is why God's Word tells us to not remove the landmarks.
We are to change our lives to fit into His landmarks, not change them to fit into our own landmarks.
In other words don't follow a changed landmark, in any away. Stay within the boundary's of God's Word and be blessed.
MATTHEW 24:35 "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away."(KJV)
Are you living within or without the landmarks of God?
