We Must Rebuke Hatred

By
Submitted By Dr. James Schirtzinger, D.d. Pastor/founder Of The Grace Baptist Church, Lake Andes Since 1988

PROVERBS 10:12 "Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins."(KJV)

We are living in a time where hate is being the thing to do. Around out country it is being pushed--to hate whites, hate blacks, hate Spanics, hate Asians, and if that is not enough--hate your neighbors. Unfortunately this hatred has become predominate in out society.

Our Bible tells us that God hates sin, but He gave His life for sinners.

We are told that it is alright to hate the things God hates and the sin God hates, but we are commanded to love our neighbors as ourselves.

We must not look upon others who are not the same color that we are, or come from another country, but we are to love them.

We may not love the sin in their life, but we are to love them enough to witness to them in hopes that the Holy Spirit will convince them to trust Jesus and be saved.

God has no respect of persons. Everyone is alike to Him. We are all His creations, we are all sinners and we can all be saved.

1 CORINTHIANS 13:4-7 " Charity (love) suffereth long, and is kind: Charity (love) vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up. Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh not evil: Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth: beareth all things, believeth all things, endureth all things."(KJV)

As we can see from God's Word, hatred is not to be part of our life toward others.

We--as Christians--must remember no matter who they are, they are God's creation and He died for them, just as He did for us. He will save them, just as He did for us. We are no better than our neighbors. We were lost at one time as they are now. But we have been saved to serve God--with His message of love to all mankind.

We must Spiritually rebuke hatred and show Christ's love to others.

Just how do you look at others?
