BE BLESSED FOR DOING IT
MATTHEW 13:15-17 "For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; Lest at anytime they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. And blessed are your eyes, for they see, and your ears, for they hear. For verily I say unto you, that many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see,and have not seen them; and to hear those things , which ye hear, and have not heard them."(KJV)
Jesus is telling of many people that were at that time that were very cold to what He told them. Wouldn't listen to what He said and wouldn't believe in Him even when they witnessed the things that He did.
There are people today that have waxed cold hearts, could care less about what the Bible says. Their eyes are closed to reading the Bible and they have no interest in hearing preaching. Sounds like times haven't changed much over 2020 years. But because Jesus allowed His Words to be put into print, over the years some things have changed.
11 TIMOTHY 3: 16 "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:"(KJV)
The truth of God's Word has melted the waxed hearts and some have been saved. Their eyes were opened to the Word of God.
They did not and do not today, see the miracles that Jesus did--but the Bible clearly tells that they happened.
Some will sit and hear preaching that the Power of the Holy Spirit convinces them of their sins and their need for a Savior--Jesus
It becomes clear to them that what they read now are now words many people of old were not able to read--nor see in person what Jesus did.
Now people are able to hear through preaching the Words Jesus spoke back then, but many were not able to hear Him speak.
But today we can see His Words in the KING JAMES BIBLE and hear them preached in church, convincing folks of sins and a need of JESUS CHRIST as their own personal Savior.
Over the years many could not posses a Bible--but today you can. Read it every day. See what it says and do what it says and be blessed for doing it.
If you have a Bible--do you read it?
