WHAT DID HE WRITE?

By

JOHN 8:3-11 "And the Scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery: and when they had set her in the midst, they say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou? This they said, tempting, him, that they might have accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not. So when they continued asking him lifted up himself, and said unto them, he that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. And again he stooped down, and he wrote on the ground. And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her. Woman, where are those thine accusers? Hast no man condemned thee? She said, no man, Lord, and Jesus said unto her, neither do I condemn thee: go and sin no more."(KJV)

What did He write? Is a good question.

As we look into this scripture we find that the men that were accusing her, were also guilty of some other sin in their life and as Jesus wrote on the ground, he put their name and their sin down in the sand. One by one He wrote name and sin from the eldest to the last. And as the men saw their name and their sin written down they could not cast a stone at her for her sin. They all left her standing there with Jesus. He told her that He would not accuse her, but He forgave her and sent her away to sin no more.

This teaches us that Jesus knows all about us. He knows out faults our sins and says don't accuse someone else of something until you get yourself clean of sin.

The Bible says in 1 JOHN 1:9 "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and cleans us from all unrighteousness."(KJV)

Knowing this, that He knows what you do, and that we need to cleanse ourselves before accusing someone else of some sin. How is your spiritual relationship with God?
