PSALM 100:1-5

1: Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands.

2: Serve the Lord with gladness, come before his presence with singing.

3: Know ye that the Lord is God: it is he that made us, and not ourselves: we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

4: Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

5: For the Lord is God, his mercy is everlasting; and his truth enfureth to all generations."(KJV)

In verses 1 and 2, we are reminded of how we should conduct ourselves to the Lord. Verbally with a joyful noise, sing praises, not mumble them, but open your mouth and sing praises unto the Lord. We are told to serve the Lord with greatness. Openly thankful that we can serve Him.

Verse 3 tells us who He is and where we come from. He made us, we didn't, but He did. As born again Christians, we are His people, bought and paid for with the blood of Jesus on the cross.

Verse 4 is telling us that one day we will enter into His gates, heaven, with gladness and thanksgiving. Gladness, because He saved us and thanksgiving, because He loved us so much.

JOHN 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have eternal life." (KJV) His mercy is everlasting. When he saves us, it is forever.

His truth. The Bible lasts for generations after generations, always the same, inspired by God.

11 TIMOTHY 3:16 "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness."(KJV)

MARK 13:31 "Heaven and earth shall pass away. but my words shall not pass away."(KJV)
