WHAT EVER HIS PURPOSE IS

By

MATTHEW 9:1-7 "And he entered into a ship, and passed over, and came into his own city. And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lyingonabed:AndJesusseeingtheirfaithsaidunto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee. And,behold certain of the scribes said within themselves, this man blasphemeth. And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, wherefore think ye evil in your hearts? For whether it is easier, to say, thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, arise, and walk? But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, ( Then saith he to the sick of the palsy.) arise, take up thy bed, and go into thine house. And he arose, and departed to his house."(KJV)

This again was another miracle that Jesus did.

But let's look at the man sick of the palsy. This was a very bad sickness. It doesn't say how long this man was sick of the palsy but we see in our scripture-he was sick-very sick so that he could be used of Jesus to prove a point- that he had power on earth to forgive sins.

The Lord is in charge of everything and sometimes He will allow something to happen which eventually is because He is wanting to make a point in someone's life.

He used this man's suffering sick of the palsy for whatever long a time it was, so that when Jesus came along, Jesus could use this mans sickness to prove a point. That point was that Jesus could forgive sins and also just by speaking was able to cure this sick man who was told to arise and go home- and the man did. He got up and went home.

God uses people in mysterious ways, sometimes to bring about a new found faith in Him, to cure people of diseases that doctors have given up on to prove that He is God. He created the person and He can cure him. By doing so the doctors know it was something above their knowledge that cured the person.

So before we get all out of sorts because something is not going as we thought it should, think that maybe it is happening to you for others to see that could cause them to believe in the power of God.

How you respond to something going on is witnessed by others, Your faith is being tested. How much real faith do you have?

You could by faith (instead of complaining) take this that is happening to you and pray that if this is happening to you, that it will accomplish in someone else a chance for their faith to grow. Or maybe it is just God's method to increase your faith in Him.

Remember ROMANS 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to who are the called according to His purpose."(KJV)

Whatever His purpose is, give God the credit for it.

The next time you have a trial or a problem will you give God the credit for it?
