HOW MUCH TIME DO YOU SPEND?
PSALM 55:17 "Evening and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud, and he shall hear my voice."(KJV)
We find today that most Christians pray less than ten minutes a day. Their total time in prayer to God is less than ten minutes.
That leaves 23 hours and 50 minutes for Satan to enter into their thoughts every day.
I am not advocating that we pray morning, noon and night, but that this Psalm is telling us that we can talk to God in prayer at any time of the day or night and He will hear our prayers.
Some will talk on the phone to a friend or family member for an hour about simple things but will only talk to their greatest friend Jesus for a mere ten minutes about a special need that they have.
Our personal friends are only here for a short life time and they are gone but Jesus is near all day and night and will never leave us nor forsake us.
God is our provider, our refuge in time of trouble, and our strength when we need it, but we ignore Him 23 hours and 50 minutes a day. And only call on Him when we need something from Him.
We should pray to Him in our life all day long. A daily prayer which lasts all of our waking hours. When you dedicate your day to the Lord in a daily prayer Satan will have to interrupt your prayer to get into your thoughts to take your mind off of the Lord.
This is what this PSALM is saying. In the morning, evening and afternoon with your thoughts on the Lord in daily prayer you will be blessed with answers to your prayers more quickly than if your prayers daily are only ten minutes a day.
Try spending more time in prayer and see what happens to your prayer answers.
