Just Thought I'd Ask
SCRIPTURE BACKS SCRIPTURE
PSALM 49:15 "But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for He shall receive me. Selah"(KJV)
JOHN 14:3 "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself: that where I am, there ye may be also."(KJV)
We always say that when studying the Bible that we should use scripture to back up scripture.
Here in PSALM 49:15 we see the words "But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave, for He shall receive me."(KJV) This is backed up by the scripture found in JOHN 14:3 "I will come again and receive you unto myself"(KJV)
Then we look at THESSA-LONIANS 4:15-17 "For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord Himself shall desend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the Archangel, and with the trump of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord." (KJV)
So we can see from scripture to scripture comparison that death is not the end but just the beginning of eternity, as we are resurrected and received unto Jesus when He returns for the souls of those that are saved believers in Jesus Christ.
God's Word is Truth, and God's Word is inspired by God.
11 Timothy 3:16 "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:" (KJV)
We have it in the King James 16:11 and there is no other version that is completely correct.
Will you be one that He receives?
