Hebrews 11:1 "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things unseen" (KJV)

Faith is another word for "believing". It is something you cannot see or touch, but it is real in your heart.

The word "faith" is used 428 times in the Bible. When something is mentioned one time in the Bible it is because the Lord wanted it to emphasize something. But when something like "faith" is mentioned 428 times, you can be sure the Lord means "faith" is very important for us to have.

Now that we know that "faith" is important to God for us how do we get "faith" in the first place? We find out how we get "faith" in Romans 10:17. "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." (KJV)

Romans 10:13, 14 "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed, and how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?" (KJV)

As we can see "faith" is extremely important in the life of one who says they love the Lord.

Hebrews11:6"Butwithoutfaithitisimpossibleto please Him, for he that cometh to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him." (KJV)

A lot of people will say, "I am good, I pay my bills, I help my neighbors, I keep my yard clean, I do all I can for others." But what is missing in their statements is: "I believe in God and have strong faith in Him."

The more "faith" we have in God, the more we "believe" in Him the more we will love, honor and obey His word and the more He will bless us every day.

We must look within ourselves and if you could rate yourself from 1 to 10, 10 being best, how would you rate yourself to make your "faith" rating higher? How?

Hebrews 10:25 "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as a manner of some is; but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching." (KJV)

Remember, "Faith" cometh by hearing.
