DO YOU DO THESE FOUR THINGS
PSALM 37: 3-8 " Trust in the Lord and do good: so that thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shall be fed. Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord: trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. and thy judgment as the noon day. Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him, fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: Fret not thyself in any wise to do evil."(KJV)
We find in this PSALM several ways as Christians to make our lives better.
1- Trust in the Lord --and do good
2- Delight thyself in the Lord
3-Commit thy way unto the Lord.
4- Rest in the Lord-and wait patiently for him.
Let's go over these four points again more fully.
1-Trust in the Lord--to have faith in the Lord in all that you do-and do good. Do all things that you do for the glory of the God.
2- Delight thyself in the Lord-This means to be happy in the Lord-Knowing the you are saved, sins forgiven and a promise of life eternal with Jesus-is certainly something to delight in.
3-Commit thy way unto the Lord. Decide in your mind and your heart that you will do all in your power and with the grace of God and the leadership of the Holy Spirit to live a righteous life that you have turned over to the Lord.
4-Rest in the Lord--be sure in your heart and in your mind that the Lord is with you all day and night watching over you. Blessing you for every effort you do for His glory. You can be sure that all He promises to you will come true. You can be sure that when you pray-He listens-and answers. Sometimes it may take a while but He will-the scripture tells us to wait patiently for Him. We cannot rush God for answers and we know that He is coming again. Serve Him and wait patiently.
Also mentioned in these scripture verses is HE SHALL-which means HE will.
Live your life for Him , and HE SHALL bless you--and HE SHALL fulfill the desires of your heart.
