The Wagner Fire Department received a call at 2:15 p.m. to respond to a wildfire just north of Pickstown, which was rapidly moving north towards St. Francis Bay. Wagner responded along with multiple other fire departments from Lake Andes, Ravinia, Geddes, LakeView Colony, Pickstown, Dante and Armour. Multiple other agencies and personnel assisted with traffic control, evacuations and water shuttles.

The wildfire consumed approximately 150 acres between Pickstown, St. Francis beach and the North Point gun range, and was mostly brought to containment around 7:00 p.m.
