On Friday, July 18, Wagner’s American Legion Post 11 Junior and Senior Legion teams played host to Tabor in the final regular season matchup for both teams.

The juniors started out and, after trailing by a 5-1 score after four innings, mounted a comeback and ended up winning 8-5.

Edward Ulrich started on the mound. He tossed four innings and allowed five runs, three earned, on three hits as. Edward struck out two batters and while he did not issue a walk, he did hit five batters. Javian Pesicka would earn the win as he pitched the final three frames. He allowed no runs on no hits while walking one, hitting two, and striking out five.

Wagner got one run in the first inning as Beau Otte singled home Javian Pesicka who led off the game with a base hit.

The bats were quiet until the fifth inning when Wagner added two runs. Mason Milk and Brannon Bruguier got things started out with a single and a walk. Milk would score on an Ulrich single and Bruguier eventually scored on a bases loaded hit by pitch drawn by Trasin Dilts.

Things really got going in the 6th inning as Wagner used two walks, an error, and four hits to add on five runs. Dilts and Jamian Medicine Horn each doubled while Ulrich and Dominic Doom had a single a piece. Pesicka also drove in a run with a sacrifice fly.

Wagner had nine hits total in this one. Otte and Ulrich each had two with each driving in a run and Ulrich scoring once. Pesicka singled, scored, and drove in a run. Doom had a hit, two walks, two RBI, and scored once. Dilts’ double drove in two. Milk singled and scored twice while Medicine Horn scored after hitting his double. Colton Zephier walked twice and scored a run.
