JOE STEDRONSKY OF WAGNER TAKES MIDWEST HONOR FLIGHT
The Midwest Honor Flight flies again after almost two years. The Midwest Honor Flight headed to Washington, D.C. Saturday, September 18th to visit the memorials dedicated to honor the service and sacrifices of themselves and to fellow Veterans.
Among the 83 veterans from the upper Midwest visiting the memorials was Joseph Stedronsky of Wagner. Stedronsky served in the US Army Signal Corps from March 1951 to March 1953. He began basics at Camp Jordan, Georgia and after two months was transferred to Camp Cooke in California with the Army Infantry. His last seven months in the Single Corp Unit he was stationed in Fort Myers, Virginia and worked at the Pentagon in Washington DC as a cryptographer.
Stedronsky shared how impressed he was with the Midwest Honor Flight and how organized and how smoothly everything went. The Midwest Honor Flight is a non-profit, 100% volunteer organization in Northwest Iowa, South Dakota, and Southwest Minnesota dedicated to providing Veterans with respect, honor, and closure with an all-expense-paid trip to our nation’s capital.
