JH AND HS STUDENTS OF THE MONTH

Sixth Grader Easton Sees was awarded middle school student of the month for January on Friday, February 11. He is the son of Joe and Janelle Sees and sibling to Lauren, Ali, Courtney, and Hudson Sees. He also has a three-year-old dog, Millie.

Sees’s favorite pastime is seeing friends and playing sports. Sees said, “Science is my favorite. I love science fair and I find things in Science interesting.” Sees says that school has taught him more about reading than anything, but also how to be respectful. “I like mornings when I go to practice because I love to see friends and play basketball. I also really like night time before I go to bed because I love to read at night.”

Sees will get $5 Chamber Bucks from Avon Community Bank, a Gift certificate for a burger and a drink from Tolsma’s Cove, Avon Pirate gear from Cahoy’s service, concessions stand ticket from Mrs. Swier, and a Student of the Month yard sign from the Avon Booster Club.

Senior Haden Cahoy was awarded high school student of the month for January on Friday, February 11. He is the son of Mark and Kris Cahoy and sibling to Erica and Mya Cahoy. He also has a cat, Tipsy.

Cahoy’s favorite pastime is playing video games, drawing, and reading. His favorite subjects in school are History and English because he likes to learn about our past. He said, “This school taught me that I can be friends with anyone.” Cahoy also said, “Being a part of the Drama Club, Track, and Cross Country was the best part of high school.”

Cahoy will get one bag of beef sticks from Southside Meats; a Concession Stand Ticket from Scott and Theresa Swier for a bag of popcorn and a drink; 5 Chamber bucks from Avon Community Bank; a gift certificate for a burger, fries, and a drink from Tolsma’s Cove; $5 gift certificate from Deb and Nyla’s; 25% off of prom flowers from the Flower Shop; a free Pirate T-shirt from the Avon Booster Club; and the student of the month parking spot.
