Jamisen Pelton, a junior at AHS, is one of our Pirate Athletes of the Week. When we asked Jamie why he started playing basketball, he responded that his dad used to be a good player, which inspired him to go out for basketball in the 7th grade. Jamie’s role model is also his dad because he has a great job and has played a very important role in Jamie’s life. “He is constantly doing things for us, and is just a great person overall.” Jamie commented. As far as Jamisen’s goals for the rest of the season go, he strives to make improvements and become a better overall player. He would also like to expand the number of moves he can complete because right now he is kind of a “one-trick pony.” Jamie’s favorite part about being on the basketball team is being around his friends and having fun; being a Pirate is always a great time!
