If you are someone who likes to stay organized, plans ahead, believes it is important to see the bigger picture and wants our community to be stronger then get out your planning calendar, record the date and set this date aside so you will not miss this event. The event we are talking about is the 605 Unity Jam that will be held next summer on Sunday, June 11 at the Wagner Lake Park.

This will be the third year this event has been held. If you have attended this event before you already know what a great day it is so make plans to come back for more great music, culture, dance, food and art. If you have heard about it for two years, forgot about the date because you never planned properly or chose to sit on the side lines and never took the step needed to attend, then get in the game and make this event a “must do” this next summer no matter what. The day of not attending or not caring should come to an end so our community can truely invest in the positive message of unity. Plan ahead to get involved! Your attendance or lack of attending sends a message. Your support, your interest and your involvement is what helps build better relationships and helps or hinders our community’s long term success. It is time for all of us to step up and show that we care about unity, understanding and acceptance of each other. The lack of unity has done nothing to improve our lives so begin thinking about what you can do to work towards a more inclusive future for our community. Just imagine how much better our community would be if all chose cooperation, understanding, acceptance and unity.
