On March 1st, 2004 John was born in Yankton, the homeplace of his heritage for the Yankton Sioux Tribe. John's parents are Betty Leader Charge and Jacob Bernie his siblings are Jude Bernie, Craig Schmidt, Antonio Bernie and Cleo White Face, John favorite childhood memories is when he would push his grandma Mavis around the house helping her being with her when she needed help and being with her made John feel safe & loved. Classes that John liked & sports he participated in while in high school is Native American Studies, Track, CTE Finish Carpentry and English 12.

EMMA STOTZ

Emma Stotz was born in Yankton, South Dakota on September 13th, 2004. Her parents are Nick Stotz, Mary Antelope-Stotz, and Evelyn Archambeau. Her siblings are Ethan (22), Kobe (21), Tearanie, Shaylin, and Nichole. Classes Emma enjoyed this year were her general classes, Lifetime Fitness, Medical Terminology, Shop, and Biology 2. While attending high school, she participated in Volleyball, Football/Basketball Cheerleading, FCCLA, and National Honor Society. If Emma could start high school over, she would have participated in FFA, JAG, and Golf.

In her spare time, she enjoys taking naps with her cat Butter, hanging out with family and friends, and going on adventures. Part time Emma works at Knotheads Bar and Grill as a server/ bartender.

Emma’s favorite childhood memory was going to the movies with her parents and all of her siblings before they all grew up. Her greatest strength is setting her mind on a goal and not backing down from it. Her biggest weakness is procrastination. One thing Emma wants to be remembered for is being hardworking and always putting in her full effort and potential.

Emma’s favorite movie is Purple Hearts, and her favorite television show is Grey’s Anatomy. Her favorite song is “Memory I Don’t Mess With” by Lee Brice. Emma’s favorite class is Shop and English. Her favorite teacher is Ms.Abby and her reason is “she taught me so much, pushed me in the right direction and never gave up on me”. Emma’s parents influenced and inspired her the most and she said “they always believed in me, gave me confidence, told me I can do anything that I set my mind to”. Her most memorable moment at school was spending English Class playing Just Dance with her senior class.

Emma plans to attend Augustana University next fall and she plans to go into Pre-Med.

MAHLON BRUGUIER

Mahlon Bruguier Jr., was born on Oct,12 2004, in Sioux Falls SD, At Avera McKennan hospital. His parents are Mahlon Bruguier Sr, Carla champagne, his siblings are, Zahlia Rose Bruguier, Landon St Pierre, Lyric St Pierre, Makayla Archambault, Calice Archambault, Lawrence Bruguier, Teva Nguyen, Daneal Nguyen, and Angel Deloria. The classes he is taking this year are Algebra 2, JAG, CTE Personal Finance, Language Arts, Government, CTE Carpentry 2, Contemporary US Issues. While in High School he participated in basketball with his cousin Julius Bruguier. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his girlfriend.

LUCAS ARCHAMBEAU

Lucas Archambeau was born on November 25th, 2004 at Avera St. Benedict hospital in Sioux Falls. Him and his twin sister Mira Archambeau were raised by their two loving grandparents, Kathy Winckler and Kurt Archambeau. Some of the classes Lucas is taking this year consist of: Drawing, Photography, CTE Carpentry, and his General curriculum. Extra activities he’s participated in are Andes Central JAG, Band, and Native American Club. Lucas wants to be remembered for being creative and open to learning new things.

CHEL LARSEN

Chel Larsen was born on October 30th, 2004, in Omaha Nebraska. Her parents are Phylleshia Larsen, her grandparents Pat Oothoudt, and Cheri Roast, and her great-grandmother Sylvia Oothoudt, and is an only child. She attends multiple schools growing up but the school she is graduating from is Andes Central High School. During her stay, she took general classes including Street Law and Contemporary US Issues. While she was in high school, she was a part of The National Honors Society.

If she could start high school over, she wouldn't change a thing because there would be a good chance, she would not have wound up at an amazing school such as Andes Central. In Chel’s spare time, she enjoyed playing the acoustic guitar, playing video games, spending time with family, and playing with all her cats. For her employment, she works for her family's bait business called No Wait Bait. A favorite past memory of hers includes spending time with her family.

A great strength she possesses is being a trustworthy person and a poor strength she possesses is becoming attached to people too fast. One thing she wants to be remembered for is helping her community. According to her the most interesting aspect of herself is how she is willing to do anything she can to keep others around her safe and happy. An accomplishment she is most proud of is attending the South Dakota Youth Trooper Academy in June 2022 for a week.

Her favorite movie is the How To Train Your Dragon Trilogy. Her favorite television shows are 911 and 911 Lone Star. A favorite class she took was Street Law and her favorite teacher is Mrs. Abby because she helped her graduate high school. What influenced her the most was her family because they never gave up on her and helped her through some tough situations. The most rememberable time in high school was when she got to go to prom for the last time

IMERRA GUNHAMMER

Imerra Gunhammer was born in Yankton on August 4th , 2005 . She has three siblings. Lot Smith ( 6 years old, Constatine Gunhammer 15 years old and Gabriala Abdo Smith who is 19 years old. Classes that she is taking this year are English 12, J AG, Economics, Career Exploration, and Chorus . S he was in track her sophomore and junior yea r. If she could star t high school over , she would have wanted to play Volleyball In her spare time, she enjoys going on walks, and spending time with her little brother Lo t. She is a Librarian Assistant for the local Lake Andes Carnegie Library She says her greatest weakness is caring too much The accomplishment she is most proud of i s making it this far without giving up Sh e loves all of The Maze Runner movies . She likes to listen to The Weekend and old Drake . Her favorite teachers throughout High School were Mrs. Mynard her Science teacher and Mr. Johnson her JAG teacher. The most memorable moment she had would be when she and a group of friends would h ave speed tournaments in their 8 th grade Social Studies class . She wishes that she would've tried harder in her classes and participated in more activities in her school Her friends would say she is funny, caring, and can bring the best out of people . MIRA ARCHAMBEAU

Mira Simone Archambeau was born on November 25, 2004 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Mira grew up alongside her twin brother, Lucas Archambeau (18) on the outskirts of Lake Andes, South Dakota. Her family later welcomed a new addition to the family in 2020, a baby girl named Kaydence Archambeau (3). Mira and her siblings were raised by their loving grandparents, Kathy Winckler and Kurt Archambeau. Mira’s family gave her a promising and affectionate childhood with many memories to keep for the rest of her life. She greatly appreciates and thanks those who have helped with her tough journey through high school.

In her spare time, Mira enjoys being active within her community and loves to show her creative side through her expression of art. She has volunteered with Feeding South Dakota and donated to multiple local charities in raising awareness to their causes. Her favorite memory of high school is participating in homecoming week with her fellow classmates. If she could start high school over, she said she would play more sports and be a part of more extracurricular activities. The classes she is currently completing this year are English 12, JAG, Economics, Health Science Exploration, and Human Development. Mira is currently working towards becoming an undergraduate at the University of Nebraska Omaha and will be majoring in real estate this next fall. Mira says she wants to be remembered for her heartfelt encouragement to peers and the funny moments witnessed within the halls of the school. “High school taught me that whatever you decide to do with your life, give it your all and success will come your way.” – Mira.

SETH STLUKA

Seth Stluka was born 02-25-03 in South Dakota to Steve and Tab Stluka. Seth has three siblings Hayden, Chloe, and Sutton. Over the years Seth has gotten a lot of nick name Like Buzz and YP.

In his senior year of high school Seth was taking Intro to Architecture, Personal Finance, Street Law, 12 English, and Shop 1. While in school Seth was in FFA as an officer all four years, and the last two years he was student body president. He wishes he had gotten into student console freshmen year.

When not in school you can find him at the farm working with his horses or his pickup. Seth has worked at Stluka Cattle Co since 2020 where he has gotten the tide of VP of operations. As a child Seth favorite memory was going over to Krizs to ride horses. Seth does not have the best time management skills but makes up for that with his work ethic. Seth has an interesting life, he wanted to get into horses but grew up not knowing much about them besides what he learned from the Krizs, but that did not stop him in one year from buying a broken horse to breaking horses for a side job.

In high school Seth loved being in the shop helping the school with any project. One time Seth made a sigh for Keizer where he put “Keizr classroom” but she still loved it. His favorite teacher was Ms. Jackie If she was not there Seth doesn’t think he would have made it to graduation. Over the years at the Andes Center Seth has a lot of good. One of the first ones was him going into Mrs. Holmes room where he calls Seth “Zeth” never call him by his right name all three years Holmes was here but Seth keep it as his nickname. Fabian Antelope quoted Seth saying “NAYSA the rocket people”. The most embarrassing time for Seth was in the shop when he went to break a nut lose of a motor and when it came lose the cheater bar went flying at his nose. When high school comes to an end Seth will miss seeing Trevor the cop walking the halls and being with his class that has inspired him by being there for one another and showing they can make it through anything.

Seth’s plan after school is to go home and farm with Steven. He plans to attend Wyoming School of Horseshoeing this fall and do it as a side job in and around lake Andes. He wants to stay within the community by benefiting it in any way he can, he plans to stay on the Lake Andes fire department and doing his part at Fish days.
