Avon was well-represented at Region Oral Interp qualifying all attendees for State Oral Interp in Huron on December 3 and 4. Students will be performing the following pieces at the meet: Reece Loewe, Sarah Swier, Gracie Small, McKenna Kocmich, and Courtney Sees (Reader’s Theatre), Ashley Tolsma (Humorous), Sarah Swier (Storytelling), Kimmy and Ashley Tolsma (Duet), Caleb Wallinga (Non-original Oratory), and Reece Loewe (Serious Prose).

The team looks forward to going out to eat together, hanging out in the hotel, and watching other pieces at the meet. “I think it’s so cool how much the whole team has improved over the season. I love how all the pieces at regions made state, and I can’t wait to support all of our pieces performing at the event,” said Gracie Small.

Co-coach Carol Swier said, “The kids really do see this as an opportunity.”
