HUNTER SAFETY COURSE SCHEDULED MARCH 26–28 IN TYNDALL AND SPRINGFIELD

Area youth and first-time hunters will have the opportunity to complete their hunter education certification during a three-day course scheduled for March 26–28, 2026.
The course will begin Thursday, March 26, and continue Friday, March 27, from 5:30 to 9:00 p.m. both evenings at the 4-H Building in Tyndall, located at 1910 Birch Street. The final session will take place Saturday, March 28, from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Isaak Walton Trap Range at Apple Tree, 285 Isaac Walton Road in Springfield.
The course will be led by certified instructors Mark Rohlfing, Ross Hudson, and Jeremy Bruna. Participants will receive classroom instruction covering firearm safety, responsible hunting practices, wildlife conservation, and state regulations, followed by practical instruction at the trap range on Saturday. Parents are encouraged to ensure students attend all three sessions in order to complete certification requirements.
