The Avon Chamber of Commerce held their first meeting since the onset of COVID-19 on February 8th.

Officers elected were Laurie Jurrens as president and Loren Jurrens as co-president, Dale Buchholz as secretary and Florence Powers retaining the treasurer's position.

Business included a discussion about possibly amending the function of the Chamber to include other persons, not necessarily only business owners, as members. This idea is to encourage more people to come forward with ideas that would be of interest to others in the community.

Anyone that is interested is welcome to contact the officers with ideas and suggestions. We are looking forward to an exciting year.

The next meeting is scheduled for March 8th. Watch the electronic sign for time and place.
