Peyton Hellmann - 135 and Hope Kemnitz - 190JV won their divisions at the Winnebago Lady Indian Wrestling Tournament at Winnebago, Nebr. December 29. Leah Whittington - 135JV finished second and Bailey Kemnitz - 140JV placed fourth. There were 35 teams with 262 wrestlers competing in varsity and junior varsity divisions. Bon Homme-Scotland-Avon girls finished in 20th place scoring 37 points. Hadlee Kracht - 125 varsity won by fall over Alee Luna (Boone Central) in :52, lost to Dakota Gress (High Plains Community) by fall in 4:00, won over Daisy Cameron (Tekamah-Herman) in :37 and lost to Selena Mccrery (Bennington) by fall in 2:21. Peyton Hellmann - 135 won the tournament taking all four matches by fall, over Cici Stashkiw-Risor (Wayne) in :53, over Madalynn Kellum (O’Neill) in 1:53, over Rylan Hansen (Stanton) in :57 and in the championship over Selena Zamora (South Sioux City) in 1:35. Ashley Tolsma - 190 lost to Zulema Godinez (South Sioux City) by fall in :33, had a bye and lost to Kennedy Blevins (Lyons-Decatur Northeast) by fall in 4:25. Leah Whittington - 135 JV advanced with a bye, won by fall over Uulken Kyzy (O’Neill) in 4:28 and in the championship lost to Casey Koch (Norfolk) 3-8 to finish in second. Bailey Kemnitz - 140JV advanced with a bye, lost by fall to Alyssa Gerken (West Point-Beemer) in 2:49, won by fall over Abby Arroyo (Summerland) in 4:26 and in the consolation match lost to Diane Reyes (West Point-Beemer) by fall in 2:23 to finish in fourth. Hope Kemnitz - 190JV finished in first, winning all three matches by fall over Clover Hirsch (Homer) in 1:11, over Alexis Jessen (Homer) in :47 and over Nadine Willians (Fremont) in 3:29.
