HEARTY HELPERS 4-H CLUB AWARDS STEM GRANTS

By

The Hearty Helpers 4-H Club awarded $200 STEM grants to Andes Central Elementary teachers Diane Deurmeier, Di-Mera Dvorak, Morgan Wieman and Brittany Schoenfelder.

These grants were made possible by concession stand fundraising efforts by the 4-H club over the summer. The grant opportunity was offered to teachers at the Platte-Geddes School District and the Andes Central School District. Ten total grants were awarded.

These grant funds will allow these teachers to purchase supplies for projects for their students in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math, as these are subject areas that the 4-H program is focused on.

“We look forward to seeing the results of these exciting projects for the students in these classes,” Hearty Helpers club leader Darci Bultje said.
