Grady Bartunek represented the Wagner Raiders Cross Country team this last weekend at State Cross Country. Grady has been preparing for this moment all season and his hard work and determination has paid off!
His race was the first of the day, on Saturday, October 25th. It started at noon. The forecast did not call for the weather to be as chilly and windy as it was, but the racers were ready. Grady was ready. There were 100 runners in the class A State Cross Country race. Grady came in at 46th with a time of 17:48. This is a new Personal Record for him. When you get to state, you are running against the best runners in class A; Grady being one of them. His will power and determination brought him in with a great race and a great time.
The coaches stated that Grady has the work ethic like no other, he is bound and determined to be the best version of himself at all times; this includes on and off the Cross Country Course. It has been an honor to coach him.
