Greer Unit #11 American Legion Auxiliary held their monthly meeting on January 15 at the Post Home with 11 members present and Alyssa Mathis by zoom.

The meeting was called to order by President Alyssa Mathis. Chaplain Margie Stone read the opening prayer. The Pledge of Allegiance and American Legion Preamble were recited in unison.

Minutes of the previous meeting were read. After some corrections, minutes were approved. The Treasurer's report was given and approved.

Membership chairman, Barbara Kucera reported we have 94 paid members. Goal is 93.

Community Service chairman Margie Stone reported appropriate cards had been sent.

Correspondence was read from District President Karen Richelieu.

Thank yous were received from VA at Sioux Falls, Children's Miracle Network, Life Quest Foundation, and Midwest Honor Flight for donations sent to them.

Our soup and sandwich luncheon date is April 9 with Dolores Kotab, Margie Stone, and Josie Rezak on the co-chairs.

Mid-Winter conference will be held on February 2022 in Oacoma; District 8 Spring meeting is March 28 in Vermillion; and State Convention is June 18-21 in Aberdeen.

Dolores Kotab won the basket and donated it back to the Children and Youth Fund.

As there was no further business to come before the meeting, Chaplain Margie Stone read the Prayer for Peace and President Alyssa Mathis adjourned the meeting.
