Greer Unit #11, American Legion Auxiliary
Greer Unit #11, American Legion Auxiliary met on March 18,2021 at the post home with 9 members present.
The meeting was called to order by President Juanita Stone.
Chaplain Margie Stone opened with prayer
The Pledge of Allegiance and American Legion Auxiliary Preamble were recited in unison.
The treasures report was given and approved
Motion was made by Barb Kucera to pay to the bill presented by Linda Y. Motion seconded. Motion carried.
Correspondence was read from District President Ruth Williams.
Membership chairman Barbara Kucera reported that we have 75 paid members. Goal is 78
Community Service chairman Margie Stone reported appropriate cards had been sent.
Unfinished business:
Mackenzie R. reported that one application was received for Girls State. The deadline is April 1.

Soup day will be held Friday April 7th hours 11-1. Chicken noodle and potato soup, ham and egg salad sandwiches, deserts and drinks. Members were encouraged bring items to the bake sale or soup and sandwich lunch stand. Workers would certainly be appreciated. This will be our chief moneymaker for our projects.
New business: Mackenzie R. reported that her scholarship entry placed in state and advanced onto national. This drew a round of applause from the unit. Good Luck Mackenzie.
As there was no further business to come before the meeting. Chaplin Margie Stone read the prayer for peace and President Juanita Stone adjourned the meeting.
Basket was won by Linda Y. who donated it back to the Children and Youth fund.
