Greer Post #11 American Legion Auxiliary
Greer Unit #11, American Legion Auxiliary met on April 21, 2022 at the Post home with 12 members present.
The meeting was called to order by President Juanita Stone. Chaplin Margie Stone read the opening prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance and Auxiliary Preamble were recited in unison.
Minute of the previous meeting were approved as read.
Treasurer's report was given and approved.
Membership report was given by Barbara Kucera, we have 75 paid members. Goal is 77.
Correspondence was read from the District President Ruth Williams.
Community Service Chairman, Margie Stone reported on appropriate cards that had been sent.
Thank you card was read from the Phyllis Mach family.
Congratulations to Dolores Kotab as District 8 Legionette of the year. Dolores will compete at dept. level at the State Convention in Watertown, June 16-19, 2022.
Annual reports were completed by Linda Y. and Dolores K. and sent to the District President.
Alyssa M. will be doing a Veteran of the month column in the Wagner Post.
Election of officers will be held at next meeting. Barbara K., Linda Y. and Margie S. are the nominating committee.
Barbara K. made a motion that the Auxiliary help service lunch at Robert Chrans memorial service on April 23, 2022, motion seconded and carried.
Linda Y. reported an Easter cards sent to Veterans and Auxiliary Members.
The soup/sandwich luncheon and bake sale was a great success. Raffle winners were as follows: $50 Gift Card - Kelsi Goodrich; Telephone - Brody Fuchs; Haircut - Pat Wiechmann; $20 Gift Cert. - Mike Denker; and Mary Kay products - Randy Thaler. A big thank you to all who helped support this project.
Alyssa M. won the money basket and donated it back to the children and youth fund.
As there was no further business to come before the meeting, Chaplin Margie Stone read the prayer for peace and President Juanita Stone adjourned the meeting.
