Greer Unit #11, American Legion Auxiliary met on January 20, 2022 at the post home with 9 members present. The president Juanita Stone. Chaplain Margie Stone opened with a prayer. The pledge of Allegiance and American Legion Auxiliary Preamble were recited in unison.

Minutes of the previous meeting were approved as read. The treasurers report was given and approved.

Membership chairman, Barbara Kucera, reported that we have 67 paid members. Goal is 77.

Correspondence was read from District President Ruth Williams as well as Robin Dorf, northwestern Division membership chairman and Dept. President Mary Jo Stier.

Community Service chairman, Margie Stone reported appropriate cards had been sent. Carol /Tolliver delivered the poem and essays information to the school The title for poems is "smiles" and the essay is "How can we support families who provide care to their veterans." Poems and essays are due on February 10, 2022.

Linda Kahler memorial vests have arrived and will be worn at Auxiliary functions and events which we attend as a body, Memorial Day, Veterans Day, memorial services, etc. Thank you, Ron Kahler, for this very fitting memorial of a well-respected Auxiliary member.

Thank yous were received from the Wagner Food Pantry and Arlis Kafka, Wagner Cancer Rummage for the donations given to them.

Thinking of you card was signed by members for Norma Horner.

Carol Tolliver won the basket and donated it back to the children and youth fund.

As there was no further business to come before the meeting, Chaplain Margie Stone read prayer for peace and President Juanita Stone Adjourned the meeting.
