The Wagner Area Health & Wellness Consortium held the 5th annual February Fitness Challenge. The challenge was divided into two categories: Individual Team Challenge with four-person teams and the Business Challenge. Participants gained points by doing different intensities of physical activity in 20-minute increments.

The Business Challenge averaged the points of the business’s participating employees, which was not limited, to ensure equality between small and large businesses. After points were tallied, GF Buche Co. was titled the 2021 February Fitness Business Challenge Champions with 60.7 points. Apparel WorX came in second with 36.3 points. A shout out to these two businesses for participating and for a job well done! The Consortium would like to encourage other businesses to look ahead to next year’s challenge and have some competitive fun! GF Buche Co. will have bragging rights and a traveling trophy will be displayed at their office for one year.

The individual teams had the same point system, but was totaled instead of averaged. Team WorkOut Warriors, (Tiphany Dvorak, Tara Weeman, Jen Lhotak, and Sarah Grupe) claimed the team title with a 128 point lead and a total of 795 points. The team received Wagner Chamber Bucks for their efforts. With 667 accumulated points, team IHS Pharmacy (Dacey Eggers, Amanda Neyhart, Josh Woods, and Marie Picotte) gained second place, followed by the other three participating teams. Thank you to the teams that participated, the Consortium is looking forward to next year’s challenge!
