The Charles Mix County Farm Service Agency (FSA) County Committee Election is being held this year in Local Administrative Area #3. This area includes La Roche, Lake George, Castalia, Hamilton, Forbes, Platte, Signal, Carroll, Darlington, Rhoda, and Jackson Townships. The nominees for this election are Curtis Sybesma. The successful candidate will serve a three-year term on the FSA county committee.

Curtis is an active farmer in this community and are well qualified for FSA county committee work. Curtis and his wife Tiffany farm in the Platte and Geddes areas. Curtis is lifelong residents of this area and are willing to serve on the FSA county committee.

The ballots are being mailed November 4th to the farm owners and operators in this Administrative Area. The deadline to return the ballots to the FSA Office in Lake Andes, by mail or in person, is December 2, 2019. Any farm owner or operator in these townships who does not receive a ballot by mail should contact the FSA Office to update the voter list and obtain a ballot.

All farm owners and operators in this administrative area are encouraged to vote for the candidate of their choice. Farmers and ranchers who serve on FSA county committees help make decisions necessary to administer the federal farm programs offered in their communities.
