Lake Andes – The Charles Mix County Farm Service Agency (FSA) County Committee Election is being held this year in Local Administrative Area #2. This area includes Moore, Goose Lake, White Swan, Howard, Plain Center, Highland and Wahehe Townships. The nominee for this election is Jeffrey Kuhlman. The candidate will serve a three-year term on the FSA county committee.

Jeffrey is an active farmer in this community and is well qualified for FSA county committee work. Jeffrey and his wife Rhonda farm in the Wagner and Marty area. Jeff is a life-long resident of this area and is willing to serve on the FSA county committee.

The ballots were mailed November 5, 2018 to the farm owners and operators in this Administrative Area. The deadline to return the ballots to the FSA Office in Lake Andes, by mail or in person is December 3, 2018. Any farm owner or operator in these townships who does not receive a ballot by mail should contact the FSA Office to update the voter list and obtain a ballot.

All farm owners and operators in this administrative area are encouraged to vote. Farmers and ranchers who serve on FSA county committees help make decisions necessary to administer the federal farm programs offered in their communities.
