FARMERS MARKET COMING SOON!
The Farmers Market in Lake Andes will hold our first market on Tuesday, June 18. Hours are 4:00-6:00. We have moved from the Lake Front Park for this summer to the City Park located at the intersection of 7th Ave and Lake Street. Vendors can contact Mary Jo Parker at 481-0011 for more information.
What can be sold at a Farmers Market? The usual answer of course is vegetables, but it doesn’t have to end there. The Lake Andes Farmers Market is open to any items that are hand- made by the vendors. This can include, but not be limited to: locally grown fruits and vegetables, canned produce, trees and shrubs; ornamental and fruit bearing, clothing, beaded items, plants, quilts or blankets, baked goods, honey, wooden items and the list goes on. If you have a question if your items would be accepted please call the number above.
Did you know that the Farmers Market in Lake Andes accepts Snap Funds for your food purchases? The Farmers Market in Lake Andes is supported by the Lake Andes Food and Wellness Council and our mission is to provide healthy food to our area residents. One way to accomplish this is our commitment to the Farmers Market.
