The football season ended a little sooner than we had hoped. Our goal was to make another trip to the Dakota Dome in Vermillion. With that being said we still had a very successful season. We finished 8-2 which is a good year for anyone. We had a lot of kids step up this season that haven’t played a lot of varsity time. They continued to get better week in and week out. We will miss our seniors as they were a big part of our success and hope for them nothing but the best in their futures. We received 4 all-conference players and one honorable mention all-conference which will be released later. Also, this week we will go to the All-State meeting and see how many all-state players we can get. You learn the most from losing and not meeting your goals. You learn it takes hard work and dedication to achieve those goals. So now it’s time to get into the weight room, play other sports, and go to camps to get ready for next season. It’s an honor coaching these players and I am looking forward to another good season next year! - Coach Lukkes
