Emma Yost, 2023 Wagner Community School (WCS) graduate and stand-out athlete, wasted no time making a big impression on the Dakota Wesleyan University (DWU) fans. The first basketball game of her freshman season with the Tigers, Yost scored 22 points and had 4 rebounds helping to lead her team to their first win of the season against Valley City State of ND with a score of 86-55. She shot 61.6% (8 of 13) from the field and was 6 of 9 from the free throw line. Emma’s performance earned her DWU Women’s Tiger of the Week the week of November 6th.

DWU’s Tiger of the Week features one male and one female athlete every week for their outstanding performances during the week.

Emma is very grateful to be a part of such an amazing team and community. “I trust my teammates and my teammates trust me” Yost said. She feels that trust will help the team continue to be successful down the road. Emma is very excited and hopeful for a great and fun rest of the season.
