ELEMENTARY CELEBRATES 100 TH DAY OF SCHOOL
February 2 was the one hundredth day of school for the Avon School District. To celebrate this day, Mrs. Benita Khulman’s first grade class participated in several one hundred day themed activities. Students were dressed up like they were one hundred years old and made “Day One Hundred” hats.
Then, the sixth graders came and made necklaces with one hundred fruit loops on the first graders and hid one hundred candies throughout the gymnasium that the first graders had to find.
After this, the first graders wrote books with one hundred words, took their pictures with a filter to make them look old, and wrote about what they will do when they are one hundred years old.
Mrs. Kuhlman gave each student a fake one-hundred-dollar bill with their picture on it, and the class wrote what they would do with one hundred dollars. To finish the day the class ate “Day One Hundred” cookies and popped one hundred balloons!
