DOUBLE YOUR SNAP DOLLARS AT THE FARMERS MARKET

By

For the first time ever, the Lake Andes Farmers Market will be swiping your SNAP/EBT cards at the market. To make dollars stretch even further at the Lake Andes Farmers Market they are running a program that will DOUBLE your SNAP dollars to buy more fruits and vegetables at the market.

If SNAP dollars run short throughout the month, this is a good way to make those dollars stretch even further. The Lake Andes Farmers Market runs every Tuesday from 4:00-6:00pm and is located at City Park in Lake Andes, SD. For every SNAP dollar spent, participants will receive a dollar incentive to purchase more fruit and vegetables, up to $10 each time.

This program, called Double Up Dakota Bucks, is a partnership with Lake Andes Food and Wellness Council, the Rural Office of Community Support and SDSU Extension. To learn more check out the Lake Andes Farmers Market and visit their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/events/429084441007206/
