Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Dykstra had a new baby boy.
Kelley’s Café and Pub is open in Tyndall. Specialty is Kelley’s pizza.
Mr.andMrs.LesThesenga were hosts to a picnic lunch for the Avon Enterprise’s 38 employees. They served taverns, potato salad, beans and sweet corn.

The Rural Teachers start meetings on August 16th.
Eddy Arnold will be at the Corn Palace.
Viola Voigt of Milwaukee is spending the week in the Neil Hornstra home. Sunday guests were the Karl Palmer family of Sioux Falls.
The summer baseball program ended this week.
Galen Nelson was the coach. Some 47 games were played. The Juniors lost 6-2 to Tabor. Hitters were Bob and Roger Hubner, and Don Pelton.
The Midgets won 6-3 over Tyndall. Hitters were Dale Jacobs, Tim Johnson, Steve Sternhagen, and Rick Brodeen.
The Pee Wees lost 9-1 to Tyndall. Steve Sternhagen was the only hitter.
