School began with a high school enrollment of only 69. The grade school had 178.

Carrie Engel hosted a birthday party for Esther Voigt at the Russell Hubner home.

Jennifer Bridge was honored at a birthday party at her grandparents home in Wagner.

Cliff's Feed Store Auction Sale was on the 6th. Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Plaatje will celebrated their 25th anniversary.

Avon Baptist Church celebrated their 50th Anniversary.

Eight year old Dale Sullivan had been recovering in the Yankton Hospital for seven weeks.

The Snappy Stitchers had a farewell party for Mrs. Albert Meiers, who moved to California.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Johnson has been visiting friends. They left their home in Shannon, IL.
