Workers from Maxwell Colony placing conveyor from the smaller bins to the new 400,000 bushel bin recently built by the Colony.

Wilbert & Ruth Buchholz celebrated their 60th anniversary. Services were held for Brant Blaha August 21st. Heidi Cap, Kylin Swanson and Brandon Voigt are the returning letter winners in the Cross Country Team.

Avon girls won Tyndall Softball Tourney defeating Tabor 27-13 and Tyndall 14-5.

King's Daughters of the German Pres. Church will hold ice cream social with homemade ice cream and p ie.

Lucille Arneson was hostess to the 4-H Club. Visitors were Irma Pudwill and Carolyn Berndt. Murice Berndt led the singing.

Herbert Voigt was greatly surprised when a group of his friends came to help him celebrate his 21xst birthday. About 45 guests were present for games and lunch.

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Weidenbach and baby of Scotland came to visit her folks, the Adolph Meiers family.

A.B. Justus has been appointed Marshall of Avon again. Albert Vauk was re-elected Fire Chief with Jake Heil as Assistant.

Avon beat Ravinia 4-3 and Tyndall 4-3.
