The Wagner Volleyball team hosted Parkston for their annual Dig Pink match on Tuesday, October 11th. Last year was the first year of the traveling trophy and Wagner brought it home. This year it will stay in Wagner as the Raiders defeated the Trojans in 3 straight sets with scores of 25-20, 25-18 and 25-21.

Senior outside hitter Avari Bruguier led all hitters with 13 kills, Shalayne Nagel put down 9, Emma Yost and Shona Kocer each added 8 apiece, and Kya Kjeldgaard had 5. Setter Macy Koupal earned 37 assists in the match. Libero Madi Knebel led all servers with 13 points/3 aces, M. Koupal tallied 8 points/1 ace, and Bruguier added 6 points/5 aces. In the backcourt E. Yost scrapped up 16 digs while Bruguier, Knebel and M. Koupal all picked up 12. Nagel put up 4 stops at the net, while Kocer and Kjeldgaard each earned 3 apiece in the win.

The JV team put up a good fight but suffered its first loss of the season with scores of 18-25, 25-17, and 9-15. Outside hitters Aubrey Medricky and Ashlyn Koupal each had 5 kills in the match. Lydia Yost had 8 assists on the night. At the service line McKenzie Fuchs racked up 9 points, Hazel Jensen added 8 points/2 aces, and L. Yost had 7 points/1 ace. Defenders Jensen, A. Koupal, and A. Medricky all scrambled for 8 digs. A. Koupal earned 2 stops up at the net and L. Yost recorded 1.

Wagner C team came away with another win with scores of 25-14 and 25-22. Ravyn Medricky led the attack with 5 kills while Cadence Bernie and Brylie Link each had 2. Setters Braxton Nedved and Hayden Fischer had 6 and 5 assists in the match. Nedved led all servers with 9 points/3 aces, Link added 7 points/2 aces, and Addison Cuka had 4 points/2 aces. Libero Libby Kotab picked up 8 digs and Link had 4 of her own. Link earned 2 stops up at the net while Nedved and R. Medricky each added 1 in the win.
