DIG PINK POST PROM & AVON/DANTE PINK LADIES DONATION PRESENTED

By
For the third year in a row, a portion of the monies raised from the sales of the shirts are donated to a local community member who is battling any form of cancer, to help them defray costs of medical bills and/or travel. On behalf of the Post Prom Committee and Avon/Dante Pink Ladies, this years recipient is Peg Haenfler. Peg is a long time resident of Avon. In 2022, Peg was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Although that tumor is no longer present, the cancer has since spread to her liver. Back in 2001, Peg had a kidney transplant, and now due to the liver cancer, the transplanted kidney has failed. Peg completes peritoneal dialysis four times a day at home. Other treatments she completes is a monthly injection, along with oral chemo each and every day along with traveling to doctor appointments every two weeks. Peg and her husband Ray are both are big supporters of Avon School and athletics. They have two children who are both Avon Alumni, Jill and Jeff. Their daughter Jill and her husband Adam, and sons Curt and Maxwell reside in Michigan and their son, Jeff and his wife Becky and two daughters Emersyn and Haven reside in Avon. The Avon Post Prom Committee proudly donated $300 to Peg with a matching donation from the Avon/Dante Pink Ladies, for a total of $600. The Post Prom Committee and Avon/Dante Pink Ladies will keep Peg and her family in their prayers, and will be there to support them when needed.
