DEVELOPING PARTNERSHIPS TO CREATE SUCCESS

Submitted By: Dana Sanderson

Success is created from personal interest, the caring about an idea, creativity, honest effort by those involved, proper planning, hard work, a certain amount of luck and people working together for the same positive goal in mind. In this case, the goal involves increasing cultural awareness, appreciation and acceptance for all cultures, building positive relationships and promoting community. To accomplish this goal a group of Horizons members and friends are working to create partnerships that will require active volunteerism and financial involvement, not just simple lip service to an idea. This group wants all parts of our community to work together by creating an activity that everyone will feel welcome to attend and participate in. To accomplish this financial partnerships are need to be developed with local organizations, area agencies, the Yankton Sioux Tribe, area businesses and even with individuals themselves. A request for help will involve financial partners to help make the “605 Unity J.A.M.” a big success for Wagner.

This week various businesses, organizations and individuals will be receiving special information about the possibility of becoming a “Unity” partner. Although several will receive this information, others may not as it is difficult to contact everyone. If you do not receive any of this information, but might be interested in becoming a partner or at least knowing more, please contact Dana Sanderson as soon as possible. If this should be the case, you are encouraged to call or contact him at 605-491-0804 or text him a message or send an e-mail to (danasanderson51@gmail.com) and state your interest in knowing more. No other commitment is expected from the question. Only one initial contact will be made with providing the information and no follow up contact will be involved once you have the initial information. This is being done as the Unity planning committee believes that you should be able to make a decision without any follow up. If we do not hear from you, we will understand that you are not interested in a partnership. There are limited partnership spots available for this event and the spots available are sold on a first come first serve bases until gone. Advertising will begin soon so possible partners are encouraged to make their decision to be included on the advertising posters.
