DERECHO STORM DESTROYS PARTS OF AVON

By

The roof of the old Sale Barn that sits east of town was rolled up by Thursdays powerful gusts of wind. Photo by Barb Pechous.

The new storage units southeast of Avon no longer exist. A camper that sat in one of the units is now left tipped on its side. The reamains of the building are now scattered across fields in shredded pieces.

Above, two large trees in the Avon City Park are completely uprooted, along with several others around town.

The grandstands at the football field are left leaning with both doors damaged and the concession stand/storage buildings roof now lays scattered across the track and field. Photos by Nikki Fathke
